The Orange Man Project

Day 1

What Happened

Okay, so Day 1 happened 1 day after I thought it would. I blame Verizon. Evil Verizon. I assure you, you don't want to hear about Verizon here, but you can read what happened over there.

The result is that I didn't actually eat the entire day. How on earth does that happen you might ask? Collaboration between government and evil empires, I assure you. So, the first Eating of the Carrots happened on today, Day 1, at 12:05am. By this point I was incredibly hungry, and ate a number of medium sized carrots. No stomach ache from eating carrots thankfully.

Eating Schedule

So, I ate 3-5 carrots at 12:05am. I didn't eat again until 4:00 pm, when I ate another 5 carrots. I then ate 3 more carrots at 10:30 pm, after I got home from class and stopping by work.

How I Felt

I woke up at 8:00 am, despite the fact that my alarm was set for 9:00am. What is up with that? I couldn't sleep anymore. Is there a link between insomnia and carrots? I hope not. I pretty much felt hungry within an hour of getting to work at 10:00 am. By the time I was headed home, my entire body felt like it had just run out of energy. I felt like my brain wanted to escape my skull and slip into a nice cool pot of jello. Once getting home and getting some carrots in me I started to feel better, but the headache still seemed to be there. On the way to class, I took two Aleve.

Once in class, things were looking up for about 10 minutes. Suddenly I couldn't focus, I was jittery all over. What in the world is going on here? I went and got a drink of water about an hour in, but it didn't help. I was shifting around in my chair like an ADD kid on crack. Another half an hour or so and I put my head down and was asleep. Oh boy, sleep! That's where I'm a pirate! I wonder how my professor feels about people just falling asleep during his lectures? Fortunately I don't care because after I woke up I felt grrrrreat! Well, I felt hungry too. More carrots and some Simpsons fixed me up.

I feel like my head is made of marshmallow. I think I'll take a vitamin and head to bed.

Weight Measurement

Oops, almost forgot my little trip to the scale of oblivion. Pre-vitamin: 242.0 lbs, post-vitamin: 243.0 lbs. Wow, a glass of water weighs about a pound. I'm learning all sorts of things. I've never passed out before, maybe I could do that tomorrow?
